I was coming home sunday at around 8:00p.m. and a guy and his wife were in a REALLY NICE 2003-2004 corvette convertible w/aftermarket exhaust and I'll tell you, it sounded pretty damn intense. I got alittle leary at first looking at his 4-5" SINGLE aftermarket exhaust sticking out and also the sound of his high lift cam and figured he'd give me a good run. Well, from a roll at 60mph I dropped into third and took off pushing 20psi and smoked him. I mean pulled away like he wasnt even there. I knew he was getting on it for he stayed with me (kinda) up to about 100mph but I figured he was 3 to 4 car lengths at least behind so he must not have totally committed himself to this race. Needless to say, he pulls up to the red light afterwards and makes me put down my window and says that my car is ridiculous and he had the pedal to the floor the whole time and couldnt get close.. Normally I would never say such a thing if I lost a race. He was a cool guy and just said it like it was. TALK ABOUT A GOOD FEELING..The guy gave me worlds of respect and this was no b.s. car. He races it with a club called the PERFORMANCE DRIVERS ASSOCIATION. It is some kind of club which does course races and said I should join there with my car which gets to my question. Anyone a part of this assoc. on here and is it any good? thx for listening to my proud Z owner rant.
